Do you assume that everyone dislikes you?

I do because for me it makes things less awkward. If I know they don't like me then I'm more comfortable to talk... otherwise I spend my time thinking 'Don't say that, that is so lame!' or 'Should I have just not said that?' and I get all shy and embarrassed.
