Take religion for example. Isn't it a major contradiction if you say that nobody knows the truth, and yet you think God exists because you have faith? Isn't it a sign of lack of faith or half-heartedness? Its eiother you believe it, or you don't, or else you'd be a non-religious outsider sitting on the fence.
