A Forrest Gump sequel may in the the works 13 years after the original film ran in theaters. Paramount Pictures has been considering the idea for years, and even hired a writer to pen a sequel in 2001. A script was completed, but the project was sidelined by legal issues which have since been worked out, paving the way for possible development. Would Tom Hanks return as the lovable lead character? Sources say the Oscar winner is in talks with producers, but nothing has been confirmed.
