Do you often mistake thirst for hunger?

Lately when I get hungry I try to drink a glass of water to see if that helps before eating something. It really does seem to help. 'While dehydrated, individuals often mistake thirst for hunger, thereby consuming more calories than required, hydrated folks tend to separate thirst from hunger more readily. This is because the body knows that water is available and avoids 'scarcity mode,' or the tendency to pull water primarily from food products.'
