As a new editor takes over at the Sun on Tuesday, readers of the red top will be keeping a close eye on the long-standing Page 3 to see if it survives. Rebekah Wade moves from the Sun's Sunday stablemate to take over from David Yelland, whose four-and-a-half year tenure saw the paper become less homophobic, and, more recently, raunchier in its content. As deputy editor of the Sun she has previously challenged Yelland to scrap Page 3, and has succeeded in toning down the level of raunchiness.
