Do you believe in the concept of garbage in, garbage out?

Basically it means if you constantly put trash in your mind, all that will come out of you is trash. Like listening to music that glorifies hate and violence, reading or watching things about casual sex, playing games that incorporate murder, hanging out with people who aren't good influences, etc.
