Do you agree that McDonalds can afford to donate money itself and not ask us for our money?

I was in mcD's yesterday and they were advertising Ronald McDonald finger puppets for $1.99, and it said a PORTION of the money made off the puppets would go to charity. A PORTION? I was like 'WTF? How much money do you make in a day?! DONATE YOURSELVES, JERKFACE!'. Although it is a nice thing to do (donate), I think they can afford to do it themselves and don't need our money to do it.
