Did your parents put Mr. Yuk stickers on things that you were not supposed to eat or drink?

Were they effective? I remember learning about some other stickers when I was a kid where the little man had both hands over his mouth. I thought his name was Mr. No, but I'm not finding anything out there in cyberspace about a Mr. No.
