Israeli Media Stop Broadcasting Sharon Speech JERUSALEM (Reuters) - Israeli media abruptly stopped broadcasting a live speech by Prime Minister Ariel Sharon on Thursday under orders from the election commission, which accused him of campaigning in violation of election rules. In a move which one election commission official said was unprecedented, television and radio broadcasts went off the air less than halfway through the about 50-minute appearance after Sharon bitterly attacked opposition Labor Party leader Amram Mitzna.
