Do people abuse the concept of 'rights'?

Recently I have seen discussions here implying that abortion denies childless couples the 'RIGHT' to adopt; that lesbians are entitled to free insemination because they are denied the 'RIGHT' to have a baby otherwise; that within a parent-child relationship, Constitutional 'RIGHTS' are denied, etc.
