The Atom is physicist Ray Palmer who finds white dwarf star matter that he is able to craft in to a mass compressing belt allowing him to shrink to varying degress. The Flash is CSI specialist named Barry Allen. He is splashed by lab chemicals in a freak lightning strike which make him The Fastest Man Alive.
