aburame asked

Is absolute pacifism immoral?

For instance, a whole city of pacifists would be wiped out by one lunatic with a knife and no one would stop it. Or if an army invaded a country run by pacifists, everyone would die. To use a less obtuse example, consider Gandhi, his 'pacifistic' solution to the Holocaust was that all Jews in Germany commit mass suicide to gain the world's sympathies and open the Germans' eyes to their own atrocities. Therefore, isn't pacifism just another word for apathy? A pacifist would never harm or kill another human being even to save a million innocent ones.
