Do you think polygyny (the ability to have more than one wife) could solve some gender-inequality issues in North America?

Polygyny (not polygamy) or the ability to have multiple wives, may leave some women to be able to fully direct their efforts towards either raising children or having a career. With lessened pressure on doing both, both types of woman would find it easier to pursue their goals.
