Dogma was Kevin Smith's brave, controversial satire about two angels trying to re-enter heaven, which would cause the apocolypse. It's a comedy. The Passion Of The Christ was Mel Gibson's film about the crucifiction of Jesus Christ, and the blood and gore that was involved. It was a very serious drama.
