An example of this that I often hear tossed around is the 'gay agenda'. What exactly IS the gay agenda and what makes some people think that it's so widespread amongst gays alone that it's appropriate to label it a 'gay' agenda? Also, the word 'agenda' suggests that these people have some sort of sinister master plan to take over the world or something. Whenever people use it in this way, it always makes me think that they're paranoid.
