Can you recall the most painful injury you've ever sustained?

I've split my head open, I've slid through gravel and broken glass after falling off my bike, I've stepped on a toothpick and also damn near had my nose ripped off my face (long story)... yet THE most painful thing I can remember was breaking my toe. How sad is that? (Yes, that's my toe.)
