I can't stand them. Basically, instead of writing essays, students glue things on posters and write no more than 1-2 pages of actual writing. For peope like me with no artistic ability, our posters/whatever are ugly and we get lower grades. I think essays are preferable and art projects are basically for dumb kids to pass English instead of learning how to write.
