Do you know why it is considered okay for animals to eat their own species, but not humans?

Yes, I know humans set their own rules, and they won't dream of eating another human being (of course thats besides cannibals), but why do animals do that? A mother mouse/hamster would eat up her newborns at a sign of danger. A black widow kills her mate after mating..
