When you lose something, do you check the same place more than once just to make sure you haven't overlooked it?

I can't find my credit card this morning and I can't help but keep checking my boyfriend's pants' pockets, my pants' pockets and my wallet over and over again. I've pulled out everything and searched everywhere! ...yes, even the same places twice...or maybe three times
