A field founded and pioneered by the Arizona Humane Society, these veterinary paramedics care for abused, injured and sick animals in their specialized Ambulances. They also aid in the investigation and prosecution of animal-abuse cases. Trained in the same rescue techniques of Firefighters and Paramedics, they go anywhere and do anything they can to rescue animals trapped and in danger. The Arizona Humane Society even sent a crew down to New Orleans to care for the animals in need of medical aid during the Hurricanes Katrina and Rita.
