Iman states on that “each and everyone of us contains DNA that can be traced back to our African ancestors.” So this is why we should care about the issue? What aboout compassion, empathy and commitment to social justice? While the cause is a worthy one and the original photos will be auctioned off and raise thousands of dollars, I still have a problem with representing Africa with blonde haired, blue eyed American actressess playing dress-up. Is this the only way for the general public to connect with the millions of Africans with HIV/AIDS?
