Would we go back to the drawing board as far as religion is concerned if there was another form of life on the universe?

Inspired by: Question says: Do you think there is another form of life in the universe? Story of that question: I find it difficult to imagine that we are alone in the universe, it's too big, too many stars and galaxies. If we're not, it's back to the drawing board as far as religion is concerned.
