Are parents excited for their kids to go back to school because they are a burden during the summer?

I always felt as a child we were burdens upon our parents when summer came around...like we were annoying them...like they totally didn't look forward to spending time with us or having us around.. maybe it was just the commercials...I don't know why I felt like that.
