The Canadian government is now considering legalizing marijuana, and using the same basic rules as alcohol. People will be allowed to smoke it on their own property, but not in public. If you are caught with marijuana, it will not be taken away, and all persons who now have a criminal record related to marijuana will be erased. The reason this proposal has been made is because the costs (arrest, the court procedures) are becoming to expensive for the Canadian Government.
