I remember I was in the living room with my grandparents watching a really quirky soap opera, and then the screen changed to 'BREAKING NEWS' where a news anchor was preparing to receive information from a journalist in Paris via phone. The time was around 8:30 PM (pacific time), and then the journalist announced that Princess Diana had died, my grandparents yelled a lot and my mom walked downstairs to tell them to 'hush up!', then I pointed at the TV and said 'Princess Diana is dead.' My mom came over closer, and after five minutes of details stared in disbelief at me.
