When you listen to the radio do you tend to tune in to local programming or do you prefer nationally syndicated programs?

In this market the top morning show is The Bob and Tom show (syndicated) but all of the rest of the stations run local shows. When a station tried to run a different syndicated morning show it was shot down by the listeners rather quickly. If you listen to NPR or any public radio, I would consider that syndicated programming.
