Picture the situation. You live in a house, and you work late. You come back and everyone's asleep. You are REALLY bursting for a piss, so you pee in the toilet. Flush the chain and EVERYONE WAKES UP. They are grumpy at you, throw cereal at you, evict you and force you to live on the streets. Now then, if you peed in the sink, there's no noise!
