I've noticed they tend to get carried away sometimes. I remember my great uncle telling me all about the different bases he was stationed at and how the army kept moving him around... that part of his story alone took about an hour. The most interesting part of all was when he told me about how he fell asleep standing up in a trench in Germany during WWII and his feet literally froze in place. Amazingly, he didn't lose his feet as a result.
