Do you think it's hypocritical for John Kerry to take John Edwards as his running mate when just six months ago Edwards was his opponent?

How can he appoint someone that he was campaigning AGAINST in the primaries? Edwards was a bad guy and had bad policies then, but now suddenly he's good when Kerry needs someone? How does that work?
