LYNNWOOD, Wash. -- On Thursday a judge rejected a dog owner's final bid for a reduced penalty, for not keeping it confined, and Deborah Linnell is scheduled to spend a weekend in jail next month. Dakota has never bitten anyone or destroyed anyone's property but he has gotten out of the yard one too many times. Linnell admitted she had gotten warning letters and five citations. But she doesn't think the punishment fits the crime.
