Are coincidences an example of the interconnectedness of things?

Quantum entanglement is the phenomenon where two subatomic particles are so connected that if one changes, the other, even if it is billions of miles away, will change instantaneously also. The occurrence of this phenomenon suggests that all particles in the entire physical universe might be entangled with each other, and therefore connected at a deeper level of reality. Are we all connected too? Are coincidences an example of that same phenomenon at play?
