Do Christian music artists have just as much talent as secular music artists?

I often hear 'I don't do Christian music. I'm not a Christian, so I don't like it.' From the same people, I also often hear 'I don't pay attention to music lyrics.' But I've heard quite a few Christian bands that are just as good as secular, so it makes me wonder what they have against Christian music, since they don't pay attention to the lyrics. Of course, the only thing I can think of is the whole 'I don't listen to lyrics' thing is bull crap, unless you have a better explination. But even with people who do listen to the lyrics, they really aren't all that 'preachy.' Sure, the praise and worship stuff is, but that's to be expected. But listen to bands like Kutless, Thousand Foot Krutch, etc. Their stuff is merely deep, not 'preachy'. I listen to some secular music, if their music is deep enough. I mean, I'm the kind of person that doesn't just listen to music just for the music, but for the meaning behind it as well. And if the meaning is cool and doesn't go against my beliefs, why not listen to it?
