Ok, maybe it isn’t so surreal but it is cool. In Tokyo, Japan there are places where you can taste, touch, look and try out samples right in the store. You sign up on a website to become a member (about $3) and pay annually about $9 and then you go down to the store with your membership ID and this gains you access to certain samples. This is all located at a store called the Sample Lab (Japanese website). There are rooms you can try out beauty supplies, taste new food products and the like. When you are done you give feedback on the product.
