LOS ALAMITOS, Calif. -- Some Southern California high school kids are skipping detention and helping the community in the process. More than 50 teenagers donated blood to get out of Saturday detention hall at Los Alamitos High School. Student Steven Butler said giving up a little blood was a lot less painful than having to sit in detention.
