Should areas that regularly get snow in the winter have this epoxy put on their roads so they won't freeze up?

Jersey Department of Transportation officials are eagerly awaiting the first frozen precipitation of the winter season - to test out a new technology that's supposed to completely eliminate traffic accidents due to icy conditions. D-O-T Commissioner Kris Kolluri says the substance - called Safelane - has already been embedded into the surface of the road on a ramp connecting Routes 19 and 80 in Passaic County, and right before any frozen precipitation or snow starts falling 'the epoxy material will release itself- preventing icing of the roadway- and will also help cars to not skid on the road surface.'
