Santa, the Easter Bunny, and the Tooth Fairy there's 3 characters that wouldn't let you down. When I was young I believed in them completely and I had proof they existed. I had my picture taken with Santa once and I was positive I'd seen his reindeer on my roof. The Easter Bunny and Tooth Fairy were more elusive, but I was 100% sure they existed too.I had the chocolate eggs and money to prove it. It was easy to accept faith in these things. They were as real to me as anyone and their existence was reinforced by everyone I knew and loved, but it was all a lie. There was no Santa, no Easter Bunny, no Tooth Fairy. It was all a fantasy. Why?why would adults do this to kids? Is it to prepare us for other let downs? or is it to teach us that faith is believing even when it can't be proved? What do you think?
