When I was a kid there were hobos in our town that would hop on the trains for a free ride. One day as I was coming home from school a hobo was sitting on the hill by our house. I crossed the road and hurried way around him to our house. We were always warned to watch out for hobos. They used to sleep down in the ditches along the railroad tracks. You could see where they had padded down the grass to sleep. Also they always left signs of where they had their campfires and leftover garbage of cans or whatever they may have had to eat.
