Ethical issues aside.
Due to the genetic similarity between humans and chimpanzees, it is debated whether a hybrid between the two is possible in the same way as a lion and tiger mating producing a liger.
The Russians and (I believe) the Chinese have already tried this and failed.
But that was with early 20th century technology and know how. Given the close genetic relation I would not exclude the possibility of some weirdo scientist succeeding one day.
