I mean *real* awards, not the Darwins, not the Rasberries. The Grammy Awards, for example, have a pretty steady history of the New Artist winner fading into obscurity pretty quickly. What I mean is whether there is a hidden meaning to certain awards that make them somewhat of a backhanded compliment.
