Most people think of going to the zoo as a summer activity. However, there are several advantages to going to visit the animals in the winter. The hordes of people with screaming children are not there, for one thing. The animals that are usually hiding from the heat are out and about and the animals that would normally bask in the summer sun are indoors in up close and personal habitats.
