Do you use cynicism to justify your own misbehavior?

Examples: Nobody actually bothers to recycle. Why should I? People cheat on their wives/husbands all the time these days. It's not such a big deal if I do it. No one around here actually stops for pedestrians in crosswalks, so it doesn't matter if I do or not.
