The ACLUnion is suing the Independence, Missouri, School District. The lawsuit, which was prompted by the mother of a Truman High School student, is about religion in the classroom. A 10th-grade student claims that her teacher, Chris Earley, required students to take notes from a sermon. According to court papers, that sermon promoted the book of Genesis from the Bible. The student says the teacher also showed a movie titled 'Jesus and His Times: The Story Begins...'
