Is the New Testament a retcon of the Old Testament?

from wikipedia: Retroactive continuity is the deliberate changing of previously established facts in a work of serial fiction. The change is informally referred to as a "retcon," and producing a retcon is called "retconning". NOTE: I'm not necessarily suggesting that either book of the bible is a work of fiction, just that the New Testament might function in this way. I honestly don't know if this is the case.
