Do you think President Bush's comments about Trent Lott's house show how little he cares about poor people?

As tens of thousands of mostly poor and black citizens endured unspeakable squalor in flooded New Orleans, Bush slid into the role of peppy cheerleader and consoled friends like Sen. Trent Lott, R-Miss., who had lost one of his homes. “Out of the rubbles of Trent Lott’s house – he’s lost his entire house – there’s going to be a fantastic house,” Bush joshed. “And I’m looking forward to sitting on the porch.”
