Before he died, the Russian composer Alexander Scriabin was working on an eschatalogical work he called the 'Final Mysterium' which was to bring about the apocalypse, and the transfiguration of the world. He was able to do such a thing because he thought he was God, obviously. However, Gods can be careless, and so, whilst combing his moustache, he burst a pimple which became infected and he died before he could complete the work. His last words were thus 'This is a catastrophe!' But had he completed this megalomanical seven-day long masterpiece, would it have succeeded in it's goal?
