Would you give a ride to someone who is walking to work/school, and you just happen to be passing by?

I was just wondering, because I often walk to work because my car isn't working right now. There is currently about a foot of snow on the ground, yet people pass me by without even looking at me, or they look at me like I'm crazy. Well, how else am I supposed to get to work if I can't get a ride?
