Are you ever forced to rise above judgment in order to cope with what would otherwise be difficult or scary situations?

A good example of a possible situation would be finding yourself (unwillingly) naked in front of a large crowd of people. A way to cope with such a situation, (if you are inclined to be uncomfortable about it) can be to just accept the moment for exactly what it is, without judging it and imposing layers of meaning onto it.
