Should anthropologists be able to study the remains of the Kennewick Man, or should they have been given to Native Americans for reburial?

The Kennewick Man, a 9,200 year-old skeleton, was discovered in Washington. Since the remains were determined to be Caucasian, the long-held theory that migrations of ancient peoples came only from Siberia would be shattered.

I would be interested in the results of it being studied, but that doesn’t mean scientists have rights to the remains.
