Do 'gangster' and 'gangsta' mean two different things to you?

For me, 'gangster' brings up images of 1920's rumrunners (ala Al Capone) or the (alleged) Mafia And 'gangsta' brings up images of street gangs (Crips and Bloods, Raiders jackets and red bandannas) of the late 80's to 00's.
