Story: Kimberly Rogers was a forty year old, Ontario woman caught in the inhumane Ontario welfare system. In the process of completing a four-year community college program, Kimberly was charged and convicted of welfare fraud in April of last year for collecting social assistance and student loans at the same time. A harsh penalty placed the pregnant Kimberly under house arrest for six months and cut off welfare for three months, leaving her in a brutal catch-22 situation — confined to her small apartment with no income and no way to earn any.
